Deciding to carry a firearm concealed is an enormous decision that one shouldn’t take lightly. Not only are you carrying a mechanism that could end someone’s else’s life, but it could also put you at risk in ways that most people don’t think of. The physical risk is only one area to consider. You must also consider the emotional, psychological, and financial hardships that you could easily face after a defensive shooting. Even if you consider yourself the “good guy” in the situation.
TTD’s Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals class is for the gun owner who is considering carrying a concealed firearm in defense of themselves, loved ones and their family. We cover topics that will help create and update important skillsets such as conflict avoidance, situational awareness, and most importantly, the legal use of deadly force, and its aftermath. This 7 hour-total class covers both Part I of the State of Michigan’s 5 hour two-part certification requirement for obtaining a legal license to carry a firearm. Part II satisfies the student’s 2 hour range training required to receive their CPL certificate. If the Class is partially virtual, then Part II requires the student to schedule their range time separately with the instructor
